Visually it stays true to the source material

Nice mixture of classic tunes from the Mario games (plus some 80s music and Bowser singing as well)

More action sequence than I thought (which isn’t a bad thing)

Some funny and serious moments in the movie (it didn’t come away with the movie being cheesy/dumb and while its a movie for kids/family there is still stuff for adults to enjoy)

8:48 - What I didn’t like/Mix/Not Sure

While the story/plot isn’t bad it's not gonna knock your socks off (though Mario games aren’t known for their plot)

Voice acting range from really good to alright

Don’t go into this movie if you're expecting it to be on the same level as HBO Max's The Last Of US or Netflix's The Witcher
